You Always Have Options

You Always Have Options (Siempre Tienes Opciones) is a new, centralized information hub and campaign that answers the ongoing question, “What’s the deal with abortion access NOW?” The site was conceptualized by Shout Your Abortion and developed into a campaign in collaboration with Wieden+Kennedy, Plan C, INeedAnA, and Charley, who informed its information curation and rollout.

No matter what state an abortion seeker lives in, even if it is restricted, there are possibilities for a safe abortion, through pills by mail or traveling to another state. This website collates information from a number of vetted, trusted sources to help patients find the correct option for their situation. The resources cover everything from how to find an abortion provider or receive pills by mail, to funding, medical, and legal information sources that may be needed through the process. It aims to be the #1 resource destination for all abortion-seekers online.

Since the Dobbs decision, abortion information has flooded the internet, but not all of it is helpful, vetted, or relevant. With large clinics like Planned Parenthood no longer able to offer care –or sometimes even complete information – on options in restricted states, and CPCs dominating on Google search, there is a new landscape of access and information. Until now, though, there has been a haphazard set of URLs being shared, without a singular message and comprehensive set of resources that can help abortion seekers as well as activists wanting to share information widely to their networks. 

Ultimately, this coalition recognizes that abortion in the United States will not be dictated by policy and cannot be “canceled” or stopped, no matter what attempts are made to criminalize care. Abortion pills are here to stay, and activist providers and community networks continue to provide support. More and more, access will depend on what information is available to the individual as they decide what’s best for them. 

In abortion access, “you always have options” is one of the rallying cries of this moment: Reverse the bans. Protect abortion. And in the meantime, You Always Have Options.
